What is Wellness testing?

What is involved in Wellness testing?
Complete Blood Count (CBC)
This test gives information about the different cell types in the blood. These include red blood cells, which carry oxygen to the tissues; white blood cells, which fight infection and respond to inflammation; and platelets, which help the blood to clot.
Biochemistry Profile
This panel of tests provides information about the organs and tissues of the body and helps to detect diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, endocrine disease, and other disorders
What is a 4DX heartworm test?
This test is performed in clinic and tests for exposure to heartworm disease, Lyme disease as well as Anaplasma and Ehrlichia. Heartworm disease is transmitted by infected mosquitoes which deposits microfilaria into the bloodstream which produce adult worms that make their way to the heart. A heartworm infection may not be detectable until six months from the initial infection, which makes routine annual screening with the 4DX test so important.
Lyme, Anaplasma and Ehrlichia are all types of bacterial diseases transmitted by ticks.
