BLUE CROSS ANIMAL HOSPITAL IS REMAINING OPEN DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS

Dear Friends, 

It has certainly been a most trying time for everyone during the COVID 19 crisis.  We wanted to update you on the status of our clinic procedures and protocols. 

As most of you know, we are still providing Curb Side care and Telemedicine.   For the safety of our staff and clients, we have decided to continue with Curbside Care and Telemedicine until the Fall and perhaps into the Winter depending on how and if  COVID 19 continues to impact us at that point in time.  We are monitoring the situation now that schools and some businesses have re-opened, and we will be able to make a more informed decision on re-opening the clinic at a later date. Protecting the health and welfare of our staff and our clients is the most important factor.    Social distancing is by far the most effective method of coping with this virus at this time, and it is because of that that our clinic is delaying re-opening to the public for now.   

We have resumed all routine surgeries, as well as all appointments including vaccinations and emergency appointments.  Clients are to call or email the clinic for appointments and our staff will do their best to accommodate schedules for appointments. Upon arriving for your pet’s appointment, please call the clinic to let us know you have arrived.  One of our staff will ask you some brief questions regarding your pet’s appointment and then we will bring your pet in for their appointment.  We ask that you remain in your vehicle in the parking lot for the duration of the appointment.  The Veterinarian will call you with the details of your pet’s appointment.   It is important that you do not come to the clinic if you are not feeling well or if you have been in contact with anyone that has recently travelled or that have been exposed to COVID 19.

Credit card and Etransfer payments are the ONLY forms of payment being accepted at this time.  

All food and medication orders can be placed via phone, or email, and of course our webstore is available for all your pet’s food and supplies.  The hours of the clinic have not changed, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  

We would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time.  We all hope for life to eventually return to normal again so we can see all of our client’s faces that we miss so very much.  Not being able to share a hug or exchange a handshake is a difficult thing to overcome in our industry as we are all so connected to our clients and patients. It is comforting to be able to talk with you all briefly outside even if it is from a distance. Please stay healthy and be well and we will continue to update you all on the status of our re-opening date.
