COVID-19 CLIENT RESOURCES

BLUE CROSS ANIMAL HOSPITAL IS REMAINING OPEN DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS

In order to ensure the health and safety of our staff and clients, our clinic protocols have changed to a “CONTACT FREE” DROP OFF SYSTEM for appointments and these appointments are emergency appointments only.

How does the contact free drop off system work?  Clients are advised to stay in their car and call the clinic when they arrive in the parking lot.  Our staff will take some information over the phone and then one of our Technicians will come out to bring your pet in for their exam.  We ask that clients do not leave the parking lot, rather stay until the Veterinarian has called you to discuss your pet’s appointment.  Once the appointment is complete, our staff will take payment over the phone by credit card only and we will bring you the receipt when we are returning your pet to you, or we can email the receipt to you.

We have also postponed all elective surgical procedures to a later date, which will be determined by the extent of the state of emergency that has been declared.  We are however available to see your sick or injured pets.  Please contact the clinic if your pet needs medical attention. In an effort to further limit contact only where it is necessary, we are able to offer Telemedicine to our clients.  We encourage our clients to contact us to see if Telemedicine is an appropriate form of treatment for their pet.

If you need to pick up food, medications or any other supplies for your pets, please call the clinic at (519) 742-2821 or email us at [email protected] .  We encourage our clients to use the medication renewal forms on our website bcahkitchener.com to request food or medications.  You can also visit our webstore to place food orders for your pets, which can be delivered to your home free if the order is $100.00 before taxes, or arrange for curbside pick up at the clinic.

ALL PAYMENTS ARE BY CREDIT CARD ONLY!

We are currently dispensing flea, tick and heartworm prevention so your pets can also be safe from fleas, ticks and heartworm.  Contact the clinic to arrange pick of your pet’s flea, tick and heartworm prevention.

Thank you to our clients for all their patience and understanding during this difficult time.  Stay well, stay healthy.
